Bethan & Gavin’s Normanby Hall Wedding…
Planning a wedding only a few miles from home is a big enough task, but Bethan & Gavin’s Normanby Hall Wedding was planned from 12,000 miles away in New Zealand. In fact, Bethan & Gavin were legally married in New Zealand a month or so before coming back to the UK, to renew their vows in front of friends and family.
After communicating by email & Skype, we finally met face to face a week or so before the day, to discuss their plans. What an amazing wedding it turned out to be!
I love this next image of Bethans bridesmaids watching through the window, as the VW camper van drives up the long approach to the Hall.
Bethan & Gavin had the amazing Warning Tones wedding band performing at their evening reception. These guys are fantastic and are the only band I recommend time after time.
The weather had been a little hit & miss throughout the day, and although it didn’t affect the atmosphere, I felt I needed to capture something spectacular for such an awesome couple. So, once the band were in full swing I disappeared outside in the pitch black, armed with a remote flash and my iPhone to see where I was going. After a few minutes setting up I brought Bethan & Gavin outside to pose for this shot below. I think it makes up for the lack of a good sunset!?
Finally, as we walked back to the Hall, we took the opportunity to take one final shot in the sunken garden, illuminated this time by a couple of sparklers.
