Fort Henry Outdoor Ceremony
Two unique venues and two stunning brides. Perfect weather, tipis, sparklers and a fantastic group of people. This same-sex wedding was an absolute joy to be involved with.
Veronica and Laura got ready separately, but close enough for me to run back and forth between the two of them to capture key moments. By midday, and having already completed my Apple watch ‘move goal’, it was time to head to the venue to meet guests as they arrived.
Fort Henry was the location for the ceremony. An impressive gothic folly built in the 1700s, situated by a lake in Exton Park. As Veronica walked down the aisle, Laura already waiting for her, there were many happy tears!
Drinks and canapes were served on the lawns, and we took the opportunity to explore the grounds a little. Giving V&L a few moments to share alone before heading off to the reception venue.
Buckminster Lake Tipi Reception
Just over the county border in Leicestershire, we arrived to find two tipis amongst acres of parkland. Some heartfelt, emotional and equally hilarious speeches soon followed. Then it was time to eat, drink and party!
As the band performed a sound test, V&L couldn’t help but jump on the dancefloor and start things early! So their first actual dance wasn’t really their first dance, that came later!
Look closely, and you’ll see quite a few tears rolling down cheeks as the night goes on! A sparkler send-off was the perfect way to end the evening.
